TIME

I don't have time for this blog. I really don't!

ARRRRRRGH!

I did it again...

I'm still debating in my mind if 7,980 yen for 3 items of clothing ( which really would have cost 18,500 yen if they weren't on sale ) from ZARA is a justifiable offense when I'm on such a tight budget and can't afford (shouldn't be able to afford?) such shopping sprees.

I bought...

 * a summer slip I always wanted
 * a fancy black spagetti strap
 * a pair of beige skinny jeans I just recently decided I couldn't breath without!

Oh, well! What's done is done, and I have no guilt feeling in my gut. Justifiable or not, I'm not coming down from cloud nine!

And if this shopping spree had stopped at just Zara, this wouldn't have been such a big deal, but if it had, it wouldn't have been worth finger-energy to write this post!

Also bought a pair of beige, studded sneakers! Couldn't help myself, they were clearly speaking to me, and I can't ignore it when things 'speak' to me! Anyway, they were half-price!

Well done, you. Good shopping!

It's happening!

I got my nails done at my school for free the last time I dropped by for their information seminar, and I'm all fired up to sink my teeth into this new dream of mine!!

Somebody from Suruga Bank came over to my place this morning to finalize a few things for the huge loan I've just borrowed. It's really happening!

This Saturday will be fun!

Changes for the better

Excited!

My first nail-art lesson will start this Saturday, and I'm very excited about it. I'm probably going to just learn about how to care for nails and everything non-art related, but it's the first step towards my dream (which has recently been switched to becoming a nail artist from...nothing.) and every step towards that dream is a positive step, and one worth taking. Over the past 2 weeks I've been trying to clear out of my life of all the things that is, or has the potential to hinder my progress as an artist, and making some changes in my daily, weekly schedule. All for the best!

*Spend less money on combini-food/ food in general.

Looking back on last year, I surprised myself with how much cash I used at the combini on a daily basis. 500 - 2000 yen on a daily basis would easily disappear on bentos, chips, tea, alcohol, and .... well, just food from the combini! I was a hopeless combini junky, but I've succeeded in squeezing all of that spending down to just around 200 yen a day.

*Spend less money and time on alcohol.

A typical weekend evening will end in me using anywhere from 1400 - 5000 yen on drinks at bars and izakayas! Now, I rarely spend over 1400 yen. There're exceptions, but they remain the exception.

*Quit Tipness

Sad, but it's all for the best.  With a loan to pay back, Tipness has become a luxury I simply can't afford to spend money or time on. I'll exercise, shower, drink water, and watch TV at home.

*Cook at home

I have been boiling a batch of eggs at the beginning of a new week so that I'll have handy snacks when I get hungry when out at work.

*Goodbye, Starbucks!

No more starbucks for me, thanks.  I used to get 2 starbucks coffees and a snack in addition to my combini spending! Woah!

One thing that hasn't changed (and won't change, if I can have my way) is my Zara addiction! Just in the past 2 weeks, I've bought 4 items from Zara! To be fair, they were on sale, and none of the items I bought were over 3000 yen. Also, take note: their prices have been reduced from prices like 9000 yen, so really, they were all once in a lifetime buys! :)

And just today, I received a call from the bank, and I had a little reality check. I will be paying back 40,000 yen a month to the bank, and all of that money will have to come from my measly pay check! It's gunna be a tight year, for sure!

Well,
Will report on how my first lesson goes. :)

*Go to school
